About LIZZIE

Meet the next dog from our hoarding situation- Lizzie! She is an 18 month old, 11.6 pound Chihuahua mix. Once she knows you Lizzie is a lovable little girl who likes to sit on your lap and sleep in the big bed. She has come out of her shell a lot, but she is still unsure in any new situation and of new people and will need time to be comfortable in her new home. Lizzie gets along well with other dogs and definitely needs to be in home with another dog to help show her the ropes! She is one of the group that was in rougher shape when she came in. Her poor skin was red and raw from a skin condition and fleas, but she's looking so much better now! Like many of the hoarder dogs, until Lizzie came into rescue she had never been outside and it still makes her very nervous. Once she has been outside for a few minutes and has time to settle, Lizzie will do zoomies around the yard at high speed! It's so awesome to see. She does not know how to walk on a leash, and we are still working on potty training. She absolutely needs a home with a fenced yard. Lizzie has been to the vet for wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her spay is scheduled at one of our vets in a couple of weeks and is covered by the rescue. Lizzie is a very sweet little girl who just needs a chance to be someone's beloved pet, something she has really never known.
