About Rieka

We are looking for a forever home for our 4 year old German Shepherd Dog, Rieka, who we have been fostering. We got her when she was 2 and have been getting her healthy and working on her behavior as best we can. We got her spayed and bulked her up to an appropriate weight. She is on two regular medications. One for allergies and one for anxiety management. We have learned a lot about Rieka since having her, and we have discovered that she would thrive in a home where she is the only pet. Being a full German Shepherd Dog, she requires an owner who has had GSDs before and has a full understanding of the breed. Rieka has been neglected in the past and, therefore, wasn't given the time and training she deserves to be her best self. Her next owner needs to be prepared to give her that time and attention any dog would need, especially a GSD like Rieka. Through training, Reika has learned to walk beautifully on a leash and tries hard to remain calm when she sees other dogs with our guided commands. She has learned to be in more control of her body and mind. We have kennel trained her as well. For more details please contact me.
