Rider came to us from rescued from the streets of Manhattan. He was underweight and skittish. The rescue org that got him out of the Manhattan animal shelter neutered him and cleaned him up. We are fostering him in the southeast area of CT. He's up to 62 lbs and is up to date on all medical tests and vaccinations. He did test positive for whipworm (parasite found in stool) and Anaplasma P. and is on monthly medication chews until May. Rider is extremely smart, observant, and very active. He loves playing with his humans and he plays really well with other dogs. He's great around children as well (cats undetermined). He needs a job and lots of Shepard activity every single day (if not he can get a little destructive and into trouble). He would love a safe place to run freely! He has had extensive training with Peace of Mind Training, knows all his commands and needs a reason to use them. He still pulls a great deal when on leash, but we're working with him and his trainer. He is available immediately if his forever home can be pre-qualified for suitability.
