About Foxy

Fox is ready for his furever home! Fox is 18 months old, 27 lbs, current on vaccines and heart worm prevention, is neutered and has his microchip. Fox came into rescue because he was playing too rough with his smaller Corgi sister. Previously he was rehomed due to destructive chewing. Fox has definitely had a rough start since his days as a puppy in a pet store. He is very much a Corgi who didn't get the best start as we all know most of the puppies sold in pet stores are from puppy mills. We decided he needed to have some time in a pack so he could learn order, manners and how to be a dog. He did wonderfully! He is sharing his toys and chews and doesn't get bothered when another dog is nearby when he's eating. He loves to play and play and play with his Aussie foster brother! Now that we know more about Fox, we know what his ideal forever home would look like. He needs to be in a home with a securely fenced yard ( no apartments please) He loves to be outside (Supervised). Rain and cold don't bother him at all. He does need to work on his recall because when he's playing in the rain, he doesn't seem to care that he's being called inside! We do believe he definitely needs a home with other dogs. Not just any other dogs, but dogs his size or larger. He can still be a little dominant during play so the other dog or dogs would need to be relaxed and easy going but willing to play tug, run around the yard, and hang out in a large comfy doggy bed. Fox is crate and house trained but will need patience during the first few days in a new home until he learns the routine.
