About Frits

Frits is a super sweet and heart and tries so hard to do the right thing. He gets confused sometimes and tries to nip people if he doesn't trust them or senses any danger to himself or his person. He does well with someone who will help him behave (like putting him in another room when unknown people come to your home, having him sit at your side when walking on a leash and other dogs pass. He shouldn't be with kids because, for example, if they were to wrestle or yell, he would think he would need to nip them to break it up). He is ambivalent to most dogs off leash with an occasional dust off for no apparent reason. He is good pals with the dogs he knows and loves to run fast and free in the foothills. He comes when called if you keep giving him the expectation to do so. (He loves nothing better than scurrying through the brambles. Fortunately he never kills or catches anything). His owner, due to an unfortunate change in living situation, cannot keep him any longer; we are sadly unable to keep him. He would be a great dog for the right loving, calm and attentive person.
