About Bruce

Available for adoption Located in Charlotte NC area Meet Bruce. He is a sweet well behaved year old young man, with great indoor manners. He loves to run with his 3 poodle foster brothers and Great Dane foster sister, but hasn't quite learned it's okay to play with them yet. He came from a home with 9 other dogs, of all ages, genders and sizes with no issues. As we do not not know if he has ever met a cat- if you have one, it would be best to skip considering Bruce (unless you really don't like your Kitty all that much). Bruce is a talker and will tell stories with or without an audience. He is potty trained and will wait to go out to do his business. He is working toward liking his crate but must complain for a few minutes before settling down to nap or sleep for the night. He did occasionally interact with the 8+ year old grandchildren in his former home, So kids 8+ unless they have lived with a Great Dane in the last year. He is a little shy meeting new people, but when allowed to go at his own pace he will warm up. He loves car rides. To anywhere! He did fine on the leash going to the vet, but is used to a fenced yard. If you are willing to work on leash training in your own backyard, before heading to the sidewalk he should do fine(again we don't know how attractive cats, chipmunks, or squirrels might be) Finally the answers to the questions everyone wants to know : Yup, he slobbers as much as any Dane. And he will insist on velcroing himself to you. Bruce is currently in a foster home in the Charlotte NC area. We do adopt out-of-state but require adopters to travel to the foster home to pick up. Out of respect for our foster family's time and privacy, we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines and heartworm prevention.
