Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Mack Age: 11 months Breed: 55# Bernedoodle (50% Bernese Mountain Dog/ 25% Standard Poodle/ 25% Miniature Poodle) Sex: Male, neutered Location: Worcester County, MA Vet Information: Mack is neutered and up to date on shots, but he is not microchipped. He has had a negative heartworm test. Mack has seen a veterinary ophthalmologist. He was diagnosed with bilateral symmetrical optic nerve hypoplasia. He is not fully blind. Mack does not like to be groomed. Owner Information: Mack is described as an outdoor dog with a fenced yard. He is housebroken but not leash trained. Mack knows cues for sit, stay, leave it, and, sometimes, lay down. He did two sessions of puppy school and three rounds of puppy playgroup. His owner says, 'He is definitely delayed, which I did not notice until we attended class. He does not like his leash or walks.' Mack can be a nervous boy at times, but he is good with both men and women. Mack is not possessive with toys, treats, or food. He currently lives with another dog, cats, and other small animals, but Mack would prefer a home with no other pets as his owner reports that he does not like other animals. His owner says, 'Mack is extremely mouthy to the point that he wears a soft muzzle most of the time. He bites our other dog constantly and bites us daily but it is not aggressive but still breaks the skin.' Mack's owner does not feel that in his current situation he adapts well to new situations or surroundings. She says, 'He does not even like to walk down our country road. He will just lay down. You can tell he is uncomfortable with change.' Mack's owner would like you to know: 'He loves when it is calm, but he also loves to play fetch and chew on a good bone!' Does anyone have room for young Mack? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
