About Flick

Hi!! My name is Flick and I am about 1 year old and a Pyr/Coonhound/Shep Mix; I am about 55 lbs. I am a really good boy. I am great with dogs and would enjoy a dog in my new home to play with and pal around with. I walk pretty well on leash especially for a young dog and I like to go out and explore! I am also good with children and I have been around kids as young as 2 without any issue; I really love them and enjoy being around them. I am not overly vocal unless there is a reason to be vocal! A fenced in yard would be great for me. I want to stay close but my hound nose might take over, so security is a good thing!! I bond VERY quickly to my people and will want to be near you when you are home so if you are looking for a velcro dog, I am it! I don't love my crate right now so if my new owner wants me to be crated sometimes (which is a good thing to have boundaries as a young dog, I need someone who can work with me to get me to be comfortable in it). A gated off, safe area when you are gone, would work and that's where I am in my foster home now when I am alone. However, I have been good when left alone, I don't get into much! I have been around cats and don't seem to care too much but the jury is still out. My energy level is medium for sure - I like to chill out a lot :). I would make a great family dog and yes - my eyes are very cool - one is blue!
