Hi, I'm Togo��%90%BE (Compatibility with dogs unknown) call 480 331 4188 if interested. I am set to be euthanized 1/8, 8 am. Why am I E-listed? Simply put, I am struggling mentally from living for long periods of time in a small kennel. I'm getting worse as time goes on. It's just not humane to keep me here in this condition. Who can save my life? I really don't want to die!! I'm a 2-year-old, neutered, white and brown Harrier Mix (68 lbs.). I came to the shelter as a very scared, growly stray that had been snared to be brought in. During my intake, I remained nervous but allowed petting and leaned into staff. I have been shy, trembly and nervous about being leashed; but with treats and petting, I have been coaxed into leashing. Before I started struggling from kennel stress, volunteers said I was friendly, wanting to snuggle up and give 'kisses', and at times, playful. Although, I have wanted attention, I've been conflicted. I once climbed on a staff's lap for petting, but my tail was tucked at the time. I can no longer tolerate shelter life! Treats no longer encourage me to be leashed. I now retreat when the leash is presented and growl, bark, and grab at it. The shelter says I need an experienced adopter or foster, a family introduction, and children in the home need to be older. I need to be out of here ASAP! I need a home that will provide routine and structure and one where I can decompress and relax. I am a shy, anxious boy that can no longer tolerate this noisy, chaotic place.
