Santana is a classic case of an overlooked shelter dog with all the right skills, but no opportunities. He has been with us for a over a year and only one person has come to meet him. Every night he sleeps alone in his outdoor kennel on the cement floor waiting for his chance. He's done very well with other dogs, loves anyone who will pat him on the head, and has been an absolute pleasure to train. I personally have worked with shelter dogs for over ten years now and Santana has truly become an all-time favorite. He just keeps getting passed over and we as a shelter staff have had enough. Cement floors and nights by himself need to end. It's time for a home and a family.
