Hello- My rescuers found me curled up on the side of the highway in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 1, 2022 in below freezing temps. They have attempted to find an owner, but unfortunately have had no luck. I am not microchipped and appeared to have been left out in the elements for some time. I have been bathed, treated for fleas and ticks and received a vet examination and all necessary vaccines, and heartworm preventative. I am in great health and am heartworm negative. My rescuers cannot keep or foster me for an extended length of time as they already have three dogs and are in the process of house renovations and moving. I am likely 9-12 months old (40-45 lbs). I have a very sweet temperament. I am not crate-trained and have some separation anxiety issues, but I am very responsive to training and behavior modification. I behave well on a leash and my rescuers know when I need to go outside to go potty for the most part. I am also friendly with other dogs and people including small children. My big puppy energy may be bit much for older dogs though. I will make an amazing pet for someone with some patience, training, understanding, and time. I would do best with someone who works from home and can spend a lot of time with me. My rescuers cannot keep me much longer and I may risk having to go to a shelter if they cannot find someone to foster or adopt me.
