About Sargent

SUPER SWEET, LOVING, AFFECTIONATE, TEDDY BEAR. Has no aggression toward people or dogs even when the dogs are barking and growling at him. No food aggression with people or dogs. He just wants to be safe and loved. His people moved and left him to fend for himself. We caught him and brought him home intending to keep him but I can not provide a safe environment for him long term because my dogs gang up on him when they are all together. I have to keep them separated and take him with me everywhere I go. He does great in the car and seems to like going places with me. He is house broken and walks well on a leash. He will make a wonderful pet or service animal for kind, gentle, loving people. **We think he is a purebred but we don't have any proof (NO PAPERS). Either way, he is just the best dog ever. The Vet estimates that he is about 8 months old. He will be neutered and chipped on February 1, 2022 so he will be ready for his forever home. He does have separation anxiety (you would too if you had been abandoned) and panics when left alone but he is not destructive. The ideal home would provide him with a constant companion, human or Canin. He loves to play with his ball, tug toy, people, and other dogs. He loves long walks, belly rubs, and being brushed. He also loves to lay 'in' your lap (all 88 pounds of him). We are happy to talk to you about him and facilitate a meet-n-greet so you can be sure he is the right dog for you and your family. P.S. When I first marked him as 'adopted', it was because we were trying desperately to keep him. I am relisting him because my dogs are not accepting him and I see that Sargent would be happier with a family that he could be part of instead of living on the fringes of. I just want what's best for him. He has so much love to give and he is such a great dog.
