About Effie

Say 'Hello' to our little bundle of energy! Efiie is a 2 year old, jack russell terrier mix, who weighs about 25 pounds. Effie lives for fun! She romps and plays with the big dogs in her foster home and keeps them on their toes! She'll make the perfect companion for an active family who is looking for big personality in a small package! We bet Effie would make an excellent hiking partner and dog park regular. Ok, now who has the energy to keep up with Effie? It's it you? Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
