About Maggie

!!URGENT!! Maggie is a stunning 53 pound girl with beautiful light brown eyes, listed as a German Shepherd mix, who may be part Chow and or Aussie as well. She is estimated to be 5 years young. Her copper coat is her most prominent feature, and her happy smile is a very close second. Maggie is a bit shy but a sweet girl who still loves the attention from people. She is so gentle when she takes a treat from your hand, and is calm and well-mannered. Maggie would be wonderful for a family who is looking for a calm but active dog they can relax at home with, yet also take on long walks and hiking. She does best with calm dogs and with a dainty play style. Sadly, Maggie has been in the shelter since October, and was transferred from Baldwin Park to Downey (both HIGH KILL shelters that are part of LA County). As a result, Maggie is now considered an urgent dog and is at risk of being euthanized. Therefore, a good, forever home, or foster is needed asap to save Maggie's life.
