About Nola

Nola is an 11 month old, purebred chow chow who was born in Feb of 2021. She was purchased from a breeder from a single mother of four kids who did not have the time to properly socialize her. Nola has never lived with other pets and can be reactive to other dogs. She's showing some dominance around the food bowl so a home without kids will be best. Nola does have excellent indoor manners and is house trained! She is used to a fenced in yard and refuses to pee onleash!...so she also needs a fenced yard. Nola is good onleash and will enjoy a home that will take her on lots of walks and outdoor adventures. For Nola, we are looking for a family who can dedicate their time and energy to Nola's training and socialization. Experience with chow chows is a must. Transport is not an option. You need to be within 2-3 hours of Waynesboro, Va. We know that with the right chow lover for Nola is out there somewhere! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
