About Rain

This is Rain, a Cattledog / Aussie mix who was born in August, 2021. He weighs around 35-40 pounds. Rain is house and crate trained. He is in professional training and knows: Let's go, come, inside, this way, come, sit, stay, down, place, and heel. Click on the red YouTube button to see him in a group obedience class. He is the dog on the right with the perfect stay. Cloud is good on leash train and already rides nicely in the car. He listens well and likes to learn. Rain has been good with the adults he has met. He can be a bit shy at first and likes people to let him take his time to say hello. He is not a fit for kids. Rain has lived with a few dogs and has been nice with them. A polite introduction to new dogs works for him, and with females he will sometimes play. Rain loves to play fetch with a squeaky ball. He sometimes amuses himself by lining up various toys and then dancing about with them. He would be wonderful as a running partner, camping or hiking partner, and sidekick for someone who is with their dogs more than not. He will blossom in a quieter environment and likely isn't a busy city kind of pup. He won't be happy at dog parks or sitting on a restaurant patio. However, a more quiet environment with a yard, plenty of nature, will have him blossoming into a total best friend. Rain's foster mom says that he has a sense of humor. She says that he is extra special and absolutely best friend material. He will benefit from a quieter home environment and someone who can help a sensitive guy feel confident. Rain is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in SoCal. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
