Name: Cooper Age: 6-7 years Breed: White German Shepherd Dog/120+ pounds/Large Sex: Male, (neutered) Location: Laurel County, KY YouTube LINK TO LONGER VIDEO: https://youtu.be/X8t0FiXHF2c Vet Information: Cooper has been neutered and is up to date on vaccines. He has tested Heartworm positive, and he is beginning treatment in May of 2022. He is currently on flea and tick medication. Cooper is blind in his left eye, but he can see somewhat out of his right eye. Foster report: Cooper was taken into a foster home in May 2022. He is still looking for a rescue to help him find a permanent adoptive home, and more information will be provided as it becomes available. He is doing well, loves attention, eating well, and doesn't mind visits from the other dogs on the farm. Original owner report: Cooper has been with his owner since he was a puppy, but, unfortunately, his owner had to move and could not take Cooper with him. Cooper is an outdoor dog who lives in a pen with a dog house in it. He is not house broken, having never lived indoors. Cooper has not walked on a leash for a few years. He has not had any formal training. Cooper is outgoing but can be shy at times. We're told that he prefers women but that he is good with men and teenagers as well. He has been around young children. Cooper lives in his yard with about 15 semi-feral cats and does well with them. He has never shown aggression to anyone or another animal, and he has not bitten or snapped at a person or another animal. For the last several years, the majority of Cooper's interactions have been with his owner. Cooper's owner wants you to know that Cooper has always been a good boy for him. Does anyone have room for sweet Cooper? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
