About Sandie

4 year old Miniature Male Australian Shepard. Very loving to adults. Fearful/anxious around children/other pets. He is a beautiful dog with gorgeous eyes. He came from an abused/neglected home. He is currently on Doggie Prozac and calming treats to help with night time anxiety. He is house trained quite well, uses doggie door well but hates cages or caged areas. He has been out of the abused/neglected home for 3 months. The former owner's child died at 8 months old and they lost the will to take care of Sandie. He spent way too much time outside day and night in good or bad weather. With all that has gone on, he still has turned out to be a good loving dog (which says a lot about his heart). We have taken him in after a couple of relatives tried to help out but he really needs to be part of a one dog family. If I could take care of him, I would. But I work a lot and have 4 dogs of my own. Sandie has managed to get along with my dogs and vice versa. But I think what is best is for Sandie to find a forever home. I love Sandie already in the limited time he has spent with us but I want to make his life really special.
