About Lady

Pittie Hi, We found a cold starving female Pitt bull freezing in a muddy ravine near our house a little over 2 weeks ago. She looked like she had a litter and had finished nursing them. She was timid but we coaxed her out and took her home and fed her since she was quite hungry. We dragged our old dog house onto the back porch and put a dog bed in it and used a moving blanket to cover it to keep her warm. She slept quite awhile. Realizing it was getting too cold outside at night for her we moved the dog house into the hall and blocked off a portion of the house to keep her away from our 8 year old lab.��%BD%A0We have since allowed them to be together and they get along very well. We have posted her on our neighborhood app, on Facebook and looked at various web sites for a lost Pitt. We have looked at two potential homes but neither worked out. I've also contacted several no kill rescues without much luck.��%BD%A0 She is coming out of her shell and is friendly especially to men, she knows a few basic commands, and rides well in the car. She is a real sweetie, and is such a love. She loves tummy rubs, ear scratches, and loves to lick our faces. She also has the cutest wiggle butt! We would really like to find a place to take her soon since we can't keep her because of other dog and watching our 5 month old granddaughter at times and although she's sweet I do not want to risk it. I also have a neuromuscular disease that causes functional blindness most days so I may be having to get a service dog so don't feel that I can take on another dog.��%BD%A0 If you could help us out in any way we would appreciate it.
