About Ripken

Adoption Fee: $350
Plott mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

As the second longest resident in PACK9- the fosters and volunteers are just SHOCKED. I am DOG and KID friendly! My name is Ripken and I am a labeled 7 y/o hound/bully mix. My foster mom says I act closer to a three year old, so it may be my white muzzle, or worn down teeth dictating my age, but I have lots of life left to give. My mom says I'm super snuggly. I think I'm a 70 lb lap dog, but am a gentle giant with newborn babies., I love treats; and am house/crate trained. I'm a hunk of love. I'm working on my leash manners, but I had MCS Dog Training come work with me and they were IMPRESSED! I'm a big dude and I get excited and want to go meet everyone. I like to greet people with a bark. But I'm just saying hi!!! It's a work in progress (shrug..) I'm a couch potato most of the day and love to be tucked in, or maybe my foster mom is just extra and does it for me because I'm a big baby. I'm up to date on my vaccines, neutered, and I'm being fostered in Mount Joy, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help.
