Meet George Ross! video:https://youtu.be/-Ird7_8HV0s George is a one year old German Shepherd mix, weighing approximately 50 pounds, with all the qualities of a German Shepherd. When he meets new people he is aloof and reserved at first, and then once he has made friends with you, and he will, he is extremely loyal. He is an easy going love bug who wants to be a big lap dog and snuggle next to you all day. If you are on the couch, he wants to be next to you. George will make an excellent watchdog because he has a strong presence around new people until his foster tells him they are okay. George is young and looking for an active family who will give him exercise and stimulate his mind. He is not leash reactive and loves to go on walks at the park. He also loves to play fetch and chew on super chewer toys. No stuffies for him! George is very smart and when you tell him to 'go get his ball/toy' he will. He is also crate trained and when you tell him to get in his bed, he will go to his kennel, which he enjoys. He is also housetrained. Currently, George is being fostered with 6 small dogs (under 15 pounds) and gets along great with them. He also has no problem when the foster's daughter visits with her 120 pound malamute and 65 pound shepherd or when he is dogsat by a family that also has big and little dogs. George will do well with children who have been taught proper boundaries, as is appropriate for all dogs. George will only be suitable for an apartment or condos if the family commits to exercising him daily with walks.
