About Lucy

Lucy is one of the most loving dogs I've ever been around. She is such a good dog. It's pretty painful even considering letting her go, but she has been getting into fights with our other pitbull Tiffany. I feel terrible for Tiffany because she doesn't ever start it, and she's extremely timid and kind, but Lucy has aggression toward other dogs. When we adopted Lucy in September of 2019 she was 8 months, her weight was low, and she had scars all over her from being on the streets. You could tell she fought for her life. She got along with our other dog for a while but we would notice she would get upset anytime we were taking her for a walk or at the vet and another dog was around. She is very sweet and affectionate toward people. She loves laying on the couch and sleeping in bed with her person. She loves going on walks. I'm not sure how she would be with small kids. I've noticed at the pet store she has growled at a small child, and I'm not sure if it was because they were someone she didn't know or if she doesn't trust kids. Lucy loves spending time with us, and I think she would thrive in a one dog household. She uses the dog door to go use the bathroom outside, and she does like to go lay outside for a while during the day. But she mainly wants to be inside where the people are. She loves to play with tug toys and things she can chew. Lucy is really smart and loyal. All around she is a wonderful companion. Her only issue is other dogs. She tolerates our cats. Although sometimes she starts chasing one and we have to tell her to leave it, she is pretty good at listening.
