About Dexter

Meet Dexter, Through no behavioral fault of his, more due to home circumstances, we are looking for an exceptional home for this brute of a guy. As a know Rat Terrier, they can be stubborn to learn at first, especially if going into a new home. The best part is all you will have to do is win his heart. He's potty trained, house train (he does have a quirk of dragging a blanket around the house, sometimes outside:-) He's kennel trained. Told to go to kennel, he listens. He is not leashed trained!! We have fenced in yard from house so he is free to come and go inside/outside at any given time. Dexter definitely is a snuggle bug, but does not like to lay on his back with you. I believe breeder did not do this with puppies from birth. But he still loves to sit on your lap while in your recliner chair. He generates great heat! Dex can kinda be a wimp while dishing it out with the other dogs playing, if they retaliate in the slightest. He does love to play with other dogs. I think he would companion we with a pit mix. Dexter plays in water down by our creek but he is not a swimmer. You can free leash this Boyo once trust is completely established with the Big 3 adoption process period. Plz look up before contacting. I'll require to know and understand what this means. Adoption fee may be waved to the right family. Requirements: Home must have fenced in yard. No escape. Family is preferred due to his energy level. Farm life would be ideal. I must be able to google map your home. If in Michigan, I may deliver after first meeting.
