About Kalina

**WE ONLY DO HOME VISITS FOR ADOPTIONS NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** Please open your you're heart and home to this fragile little Poodle mix girl, who at 3 years old has suffered an abusive life. We gave her the name Kalina which means beautiful flower Her Foster parents are helping Kalina to feel secure and blossom into a trusting companion She doesn't bite but she is fearful of hands. She needs an adult home with patients and compassion to help her through. Kalina will kiss your hand and relax next to you when you are sitting down. Her spirit is bruised not broken. She is healthy and her bloodwork was good. Kalina needs an experienced adopter able to work with her fear of being hit. She is good with other dogs and is learning to form her foster dogs how to act like a dog and be happy. Kalina would NOT be good in an apartment or condo where she has different people and pets to confront all the time. She is just learning to walk on a leash and will jump/pull when startled so we are working on getting her used to the leash in the house and secure yard first. **She is new to rescue and just starting her emotions rehab. She needs a home experienced with behavioral issues, willing to continue her exposure in small doses to human touch and how to be a dog. She is loving once she is sitting with you but when she is back on the ground she may run from you when getting her attention. Currently, her foster family is using the tethering method to leash her to them around the house to get her to feel safe with them without forcing her or touching her since she is afraid of hands and people standing over her.
