About NUBBY

PLEASE READ INFORMATION AT THE END OF THE POST FOR ADOPTIONS Meet adorable Nubby! Nubby is a 1-2 year old Chihuahua mix who weighs 9 pounds. He is a regular little love bug with the cutest underbite! He likes kisses and cuddles and sleeps in the big bed snuggled under the covers. Nubby gets along with all the other dogs in his foster home, including little puppies who hang all over him and live to wrestle. He will definitely be best with another dog in the home. We think he will be fine with older kids who know how to treat a small dog. He has not been exposed to cats that we are aware of. Nubby is learning how to play with toys and loves doing zoomies with his new fur-friends around the house! He came from a hoarding situation and knows nothing about the outdoors or a leash, and potty training is ongoing. He requires a fenced yard in his new home. Nubby is missing some toes on one of his hind legs from an incident that occurred when he was born. We believe that during the frantic time of delivery his mama bit some of his toes off! The vet has checked him out thoroughly and advises that he does not have any pain from this and no treatment is needed. Sometimes you can barely notice it and other times he lifts his rear leg off the ground when walking. Nubby has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested and wormed, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vet soon and is covered by the rescue.
