About Lexi

Lexi is being listed again as she has some specific requirements that have come to light while we have worked on finding the perfect home match for her. Lexi is about 2 to 2 �%BD years old. She weighs about 26#. She is a happy girl and can be a bit shy. She loves to snuggle and give gentle kisses and enjoys playing fetch. She loves to be close to her people. She enjoys respectful gentle, older children at least 8+. She is house trained with a doggie door and is crate trained. She isn't thrilled with the crate but tolerates it well. She prefers to snuggle with her foster mom in bed at night. Lexi thinks she is much smaller than she is and will climb on top of her foster mom at night to watch a little TV. These are the requirements to be considered for her adoption: �'ۢ Previous experience with the herding breed as she likes to herd people and other animals and may nip the back of legs or ankles. �'ۢ Experience and tolerance with dogs that like to bark. �'ۢ A large fenced in yard attached to the house. �'ۢ A home without dogs bigger than her. Lexi is dog selective so a smaller dog doesn't guarantee a good fit. She does well with her foster's chihuahua and is quite gentle but finds other dogs of equal size or larger intimidating and will challenge them to assert herself (she has arguments with her Corgi sister). �'ۢ A home where she could be the 1st and only dog at least for a period of time before other dogs were introduced into the home could be helpful. �'ۢ Lexi doesn't like being left alone for long periods so she REQUIRES a family where someone works from home or is retired. �'ۢ She is very energetic. She requires exercise and stimulation. �'ۢ No cats or pocket pets. Lexi is spayed, UTD on vaccs, HW- and chipped.
