About Zeus

Adoption Fee: $50
German Shepherd
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

'I am a very playful and loving German Shepherd dog. I am great with humans and dogs. Playing outside with humans is my favorite thing to do. I do have minor skin infections, I dislike squeaky toys and very loud noises. I am looking for a home that can offer me love and attention.' Due to downsizing our home, unfortunately we are looking to re-home our beloved Zeus. He has been with us since we brought him home from the GS breeder, almost six years ago. Zeus is such a great dog. He loves being outdoors especially when there is fluffy snow. He can be very territorial (barks at the unknown) when home. He doesn't do so great when attached to leash but can be properly trained to do so. He is used to free roam in our big yard and is house trained. He is a great listener and knows basic commands; sit, stay, come, go find your toy and quiet please. He also does very well with other dogs big or small, female and male. (No experience around cats or other animals) He has never had any serious health issues other than minor skin irritations on his paws. He has been taken to the vet regularly and is up to date with vaccinations. For the past 6 years Zeus has only ate Biljac kibble along with raw meats and bone broth. Since he is a GSD, he does shed quite a bit but there are only two times a year when he sheds the most; spring and winter. Some of Zeus' favorite things: belly rubs, head massages, big comfy beds, treats, and chewy toys Some of Zeus' dislikes: squeaky toys, fireworks, loud music, the blowdryer, and when people pet his tail, ears, and paws Zeus is a big dog with a big heart! We love him so much. Although this is a very hard time for our family, we are not is a rush to re-home him. We are patiently looking to find the perfect owner/s for him. *Disclaimer* German Shepherd dogs can be a handful. It takes a lot of patience and knowledge to care for a GSD. GSD's are very energetic, playful, and some can be hard or easy to train. If you have never owned a GSD before, I encourage you to do a lot of research before owning one.
