About Zorro

Adoption Fee: $150
Australian Shepherd / Foxhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Foster location: Boise ID Breed: Fox Hound/ Australian Shepherd Mix Age: 10-12 months Size: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $150.00 Neutered, Vaccinated If interested you must fill out an Adoption Application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Handsome Zorro was rescued by an amazing family; he had been abused, he was living in his own feces, and he was skin and bone. They nursed him back to health and he is healthy, happy, and loved; now Fuzzy Pawz Rescue is stepping in to help him find an amazing home. He's not perfect. He does have his issues. But he is 100% amazing! Zorro is terrified of strangers - imagine that humans treat him badly 90% of his life and he is afraid of people! When he gets to know you, he is a happy, sweet, playful boy who loves cuddles, 'cookies', tug of war and toys! He is not aggressive at all - when scared he just does everything, he can to get away from the scary stranger; when he's comfortable with you he is a gushy ball of love. Zorro would be living his best life with a family that can work from home or have someone home with him most of the day, that just really wants to have a dog that will be devoted to them and love them but not be forced to be around a whole bunch of new people. He's very playful and fun loving. His behaviors are very much like a cat, when he wants love and attention, he will come to you and when people come over, he will make himself hidden. He can walk on a leash just fine, but then when people are around, he gets really skittish and will do everything he can to get away from the stranger. He loves dogs, cats & ferrets so far, has never had an issue with them. He's a pack dog, he falls in line with the other dogs in his foster home. He will need to go to a home with a friendly, confident dog. He's potty trained, goes and sits by the door when he needs to go potty and cries or will pace and make that hard eye contact like 'com on I need to pee!' Zorro is crate trained and enjoys sleeping in his kennel at night. He knows basic commands like no, sit, lay down, stay. Zorro will need a quieter home (no kids under 12) with not a ton of people coming and going. But he also needs someone who is going to work on making him more comfortable in the world. With time and some socialization Zorro will become your most dedicated, loyal and loving companion.
