About Copper

Copper is an almost 3 year old redbone coonhound. He loves children and was originally in a family with two toddlers (their mom was pregnant, and did not have the stamina for his daily walks.) He is a lover and loves to spend his time snuggling on the sofa with us. An unexpected career change is taking us on a journey that does not allow pets, so we must reluctantly give him up to a good family that will take him on walks, to the dog park and play with him in the backyard. Copper is a beautiful example of his breed. We can't take him out for a walk without getting compliments, 'What a beautiful dog!' He loves his walks and trips to the dog park. He plays well with the other dogs at the park, big or small, and we think he would be happiest in a family with another dog to play with. While his breed is as a hunting dog, he is not really suited for hunting as he will hide behind us if he hears a loud noise. However, he handles thunderstorms well. He is up to date on his shots and vet appts, and we will be happy to supply the name and number of his vet to verify his health and care.
