About Kensleigh

Kensleigh is still lounging around awaiting her furever family. She is a silky soft, super sweet, 1-year-young, 45 lb. Boxer mix who arrived in Harrisburg, PA from Alabama in early January. Since arriving, she has shared a home with several dogs ranging in age from 8 weeks to 5 years and ranging in size from 8 lbs. to 45 lbs. Kensleigh loves to play and quite often she gets the zoomies in the yard when she's fully excited. She often talks with her paws to get attention or whatever she wants in the moment. She aims to please, and loves to be praised when she does a good job. While there are no cats in the home, she seems to care less about the guinea pigs and doesn't present a prey drive. Kensleigh is a lover when it comes to hoomans of all ages and she loves to give kisses. She has a very short and soft coat and loves to be pet and get her ears scratched. She is like velcro to her foster mom when it comes to cuddle time and can't get close enough. She does show a bit of timidness when initially meeting men, but once she knows she is safe with them, she will go back for attention with ease. She loves beds, couches, pillows, and anything soft and cozy to curl up on for a nap and sometimes she likes to nap in her crate. Kensleigh is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
