Hello - my name is Ghost. My mom has learned a lot about my breed so she is looking for a adoptive home for me that is breed specific. Mom has even discovered that my breed, when anxious, upset, or mad, tends to display this with the whites of my eyes turning blood red. I assume that is a blood pressure thing. We, Australian Cattle Dogs, are loyal and protective of our families, though wary of outsiders. Besides herding work, we do well at canine sports, including agility, obedience, rally, flyball, and flying disc competitions. I need a job to do. I need a lot - a lot! - of mental and physical activity to stay happy and healthy, and to prevent bored, destructive behavior. If you have a home with plenty of room to run, and you can keep up with me, I may be the dog for you! I am very affectionate towards one owner that I bond with and will need that interaction. And as mentioned above, I do not like strangers until they become a friend. I am smart, easy to train with one owner, and I have a high prey drive. My favorite thing to do is play fetch and I could play all day long. I also love to get a rope and shake it forever. ***Ghost will only be adopted to someone with property and knowledge of the breed.*** ***Ghost has bitten humans before when being trained. He does best bonding with one owner and in a low traffic household.****
