About Glen

Poor, sweet senior boy Glen obviously had it tough before coming into the shelter as a stray. In addition to being an older dog, Glen came in as an underweight stray COVERED in fleas and also suffering from dermatitis. Our awesome medical team here at FBCAS is on it, and he has already had treatment for both. We're slowly working on helping him gain some weight (safely), but we're sure he'd benefit from being in a home environment and getting some one on one loving! Despite his hard life, Glen remains super sweet and gentle. He's got to be the most laidback and easy going guy in the world! He's very calm and relaxed. He's a great leash walker and doesn't even come close to pulling on the leash - part of that probably has to do with the fact that he doesn't ever really go very fast. A casual trot is about the fastest we've ever seen him go. That's just one of the benefits of an older dog! Glen is very friendly and will happily let you love on him, but he's also got an independent streak and is happy to entertain himself. He's not needy like a young pup might be! he's not much for playing either - with his low energy level he's much more of a 'chill' kind of guy. Glen has gotten along well with other dogs in shelter playgroups, and does best with dogs that match his calm, relaxed vibe.
