About Stray

This sweet dog was dropped off by some lazy SOB that never deserved this dog in the first place. I mean, what type of person drops off a dog on a dirt road on the coldest day this year in the middle of deer season? It is a great dog, has a very humble disposition and is not aggressive in the least. It is friendly with our neighbors (adults) but not sure how it reacts to kids. He is very vigilant and stays close to us on walks. It appears to have been an indoor dog due to the fact that he has his nose in the door every time we go inside. I have only heard him bark briefly twice in a weeks time; once on initial contact and once when a deer snorted. No worms present in feces. Very nice coat that pics can't do justice. We guess he is no more than a year or year and a half old at most. He was very skittish when he showed up but has become very comfortable with us. He is very affectionate. He thanks us in his dog way every time we feed him by placing his head in our lap even before he is finished. We would keep him if not for the fact that we just put down our last dog. We are just not emotionally capable of having another dog so soon. He is a loving, loyal dog that deserves a good home that can provide him with comfort and safety.
