About Sonnet

Sonnet was a owner surrender that never really adjusted to being in the shelter. From the moment of her arrival to the shelter she just trembled. At first she wouldn't even look at anyone and had no interest in other dogs. Eventually she came more out of her shell with her kennel mates but she still spent most of her time trembling and had zero interest in appearing cute for adopters to take her. So just a couple weeks after she arrived she was listed to die if she didn't leave. A plea went out with the most heartbreaking video of her soulful eyes just begging for help as she trembled and we couldn't allow her to die there alone, confused, and afraid. So she headed up to us. She has shockingly come a long way since arrival and had relearned how to dog, how to play, how to interact with other dogs etc. The foster home she is in now is extremely busy, chaotic and loud and we really believe that in order for Sonnet to thrive she needs a quieter home environment with less dogs, (her foster has 10+ at any given time) so she doesn't get the one on one attention that she deserved and truly needs at this point. Sonnet is NOT 'aggressive' at all, she will hide or show her belly if she feels uncomfortable, Sonnet is a danger to no one. We are looking for a committed foster or adoptive home that will continue to work with her to reach her true potential.
