About Puppy

We found Puppy on Thanksgiving, brought him home, vetted him, got his skin infection cleared up, & helped him gain some weight. He's been very sweet with us, but as a dog who was likely alone roaming for a few months, he is a bit food possessive. We have 2 other dogs & 1 cat. He has immediately identified our 4 yr old, 80lb pit as the alpha, but our 1 yr old, 40lb plot hound mix has shown aggression & territorial behavior toward Puppy. Puppy barks at new people, but eventually quiets down - not sure if he's just protective of our house now that he's been here for 1 month. He has chased my cat who is now living in the basement, scared, which is no life for him. My plot hound has initiated several fights with Puppy over me & bones/treats. We've been able to feed them all at the same time in the same room without issue. Puppy loves playing with both of my dogs, running in the yard, & being chased by me when he has a toy. We're crate training & the only accidents he's had in the house were when he was very anxious at first. When food falls on the floor when cooking, or when I sit down to eat, he becomes a bit tense / dominant over the food. We're working on it & he is learning. He's so sweet, but with a territorial dog already in the home, a scared cat, & an upcoming surgery I'm having, I simply cannot keep this adorable pup. Please help me find him a forever home! The adoption fee of $350 is just to cover the vet visits, shots, etc. that Puppy has had since he's been with us.
