Pug

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] This is Earl. He is the Duke of Earl or Earl the Pearl. He is 13, an old timer. He doesn't seem to hear or see very well. He also has Pug Myelopathy and he can not longer walk or drag himself around. He can turn himself around while laying down. He can walk a bit in a wheelchair. He talks ALOT. He does not like being ignored. He will whine when he pees, poops or needs water. His foster parents have learned the trick to expressing him and it 'works wonderfully.' He loves being up on the couch with a human or the other pugs. We have 2 pillows with blanket and pee pads and he loves it. He does not like being left on the floor even if on a pillow. I think he likes the view better when he is up higher. He eats very well. He doesnt drink as much water as I think he should. He sleeps in bed next to me. The bed is against the wall on my side, so he has pee pads and blankets and a diaper on. He will sleep all night almost every night. I keep a blanket on him because we keep room kind of cool. If he doesnt want the blanket on he turns himself around. He is unsure about being carried. He loves going out in the sun in the mornings. He lays there with head up facing the sun. Earl is a good boy. He is cute and the tip of his tongue sticks out a lot or his bottom teeth show. Earl does have dental disease and will not chew anything hard; however, that does not deter his appetite. He is on Hills Science Diet Weight Control food with a bit of the same brand in canned added with warm water. Got to get the liquid in. I get him soft treats and are practicing easy when he takes something because he wants your finger tips and the treat. He has to be carried everywhere if you want him elsewhere. He likes laying on a pillow while you're cooking in the kitchen so he can be with other pugs and not alone on the couch. He likes to be petted and just be by his human. Earl doesn't mind other pugs, but at times will try to lunge at them if he doesn't want them close. Other times he is laying down and one lays by him, I mean mashed against him and he is fine with that. He is a good ol' boy.
