This wee adorable girl is a 6 year old, 40 poundish, black bicolor bobtail Miniature American Shepherd (Mini Aussie) mix. The gorgeous gal came to the rescue because her previous people were no longer around to take care of her, and she was left on her own with nothing to do and no one to do it with. Not a best life for a herding breed girl. Sadie's love language is her Person and play! She's a minute minxette. In her foster home, given just a little time to overcome her initial shyness, this lively Lass was capering joyfully with her fellow foster canine pals both big and small. She's just the right amount of active Aussomeness! Sweet Sadie has a silly side! The playful pooch loves a rousing game of Fetch. And she doesn't discriminate- a ball, disc, or nursery pot will do! She'd revel in some engaging retrieval games, agility training, and home or competive sports. And walkies? Sadie is adorably ALL IN! She bubbles over with excitement at the sight of a leash. Our Sadie's quite an eclectic collector. An industrious Aussie, she's been known to make up her own games- herding and gathering geegaws and whatnots (shoes, water bottles, and balls) into her crate. Sadie sometimes needs a bit of guidance with sharing. She has been a little overprotective of her trinkets and treats in the past. In her foster home that has become a rarity. She responds well to a 'leave it/drop it' reminder and redirection. Sadie will follow the lead of her confident, experienced Person. All she needs is a herding breed savvy one. Like any Aussie, Sadie needs to engage with her people. In her previous home where she was left alone too much, when the landscaper left the gate open, out went Sadie. She nipped an unknown jogger, trying to herd them home. Sadie's foster mom understands the social and interactive needs of a herding gal. Her Forever Family will, too! Miss Sadie is 100% fine in in her crate when her folks aren't home or at night when everyone's in bed. She rides splendidly in the car. Sadie would be a fantastic companion of any herder aficionado who is eager to share their life and lifestyle with an intelligent, playful girl in her prime. To put it simply, Sadie is a splendiferous pup with a lively spirit looking for someone who's lucky enough to see her sweet soul.��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD%BD%A0 Sadie's future is with adults only or dog savvy children 12 and up, and perhaps another dog or two of similar size and temperament. She has not been tested with felines. A fence is preferred but may not be necessary for the right experienced, active home. Multiresidential buildings (such as apartments) are not a good fit for this girl. Introductions with new people, including children, places, other dogs and cats MUST be slow and monitored.
