'GRETA' is an adorable, 4-month-old, 25-30 lb. female Labrador Retriever puppy we rescued from a very high kill pound. Greta is a really, really good pup; sweet; smart; playful but not with crazy, frenetic energy; eager to please and bond; listens pretty well for her age and already walks good already on a leash. Greta is fairly new to the rescue so has received 2 rounds of puppy vaccinations but will need her remaining 2 rounds appropriately scheduled, which means 'no paws on the ground' protocol for bathroom breaks would need to be observed by a forever home until 2 weeks after her scheduled 3rd round of vaccines. (This 'no paws on the ground' safety protocol can be explained in detail to prospective forever homes). Greta has had 2 rounds of puppy vaccines (will need 2 more over the next 1.5 months), has been de-wormed, is crate-trained and house-trained. Greta has not yet been spayed and that surgery should be delayed for a few months as she matures (research shows evidence of mid-life and later in life chronic health problems in dogs due to 'altering' too early in their development). All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
