About Boomer

HI my name is Boozer and the shelter staff believes I am about 11 years old. I am a bulldog/pitbull mix who weighs 50 lbs. Unfortunately the only family I've ever known had to surrender me to the shelter due to moving. I am looking for a loving furever home to make these the best years I've had! Come and meet me today! This 11 year old, silly, treat obsessed American Bulldog mix is called Boomer! The sweet senior boy unfortunately had to be surrendered to the shelter because his family was moving. He's been great around kids in the past and gets along well with other dogs�'�|as long as they don't try and get too alpha with him! The phrase 'senior dog' conjures up images of dogs lounging around and taking naps. While Boomer does his fair share, he sometimes forgets his age and has bursts of playful silliness. He's still pretty calm and easygoing - even when he's at his most playful we would still describe him as medium energy at best. Boomer is a great leash walker�'�|but he sometimes gets it in his head that he can walk himself. He'll grab his own leash in his mouth and start walking! He'll also sometimes try and talk you into a game of tug-of-war with it, but he never pulls too hard! He loves toys and is always excited to play with them. If you throw a ball he loves to meander after it, and he'll even pick it up sometimes! But he'll only go a few steps before dropping it and walking back to you empty mouthed. He's a very friendly boy who likes attention�'�|but he likes treats even more!
