About Nova

American Staffordshire Terrier / Mastiff
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

A months worth of training with Alpha & Omega Working Dogs included with her adoption! Check out videos of how great she is at https://www.facebook.com/jean.marie.902/posts/4724067627631992 Nova is one of the volunteer and staff members absolute favorites. She has spent over a year at the shelter looking for a new home. We love this girl dearly and, as you can see from the pictures, the love is mutual. Nova is a 5 year old Cane Corso/Pittie mix who was surrendered at no fault of her own. True to her breed, Miss Nova can be a little leary of strangers, but once she gets a chance to meet you and know you, she LOVES you. You'll find this gal often pressing her body on the front of the kennel for scratches and pets once she spots one of her people walking down the hall! She is extremely intelligent, already has the basics down, and would thrive with a savvy, energetic owner. She even has a months worth of training with Alpha & Omega Working Dogs included with her adoption! She will walk on heel when asked and is crate and house trained. She would do best as the only pet in the house, but can keep her manners on walks when passing other dogs. The shelter also recommends a home with older children or adults only, as Nova doesn't always know her size and can be a bull when coming in for belly rubs or snuggles! She loves to play with soccer balls in a fenced backyard, but does have a little bit of a prey drive, so no cats for this gal either. We know Nova's perfect home is out there for her'| we just haven't found it yet! Please come give our girl a chance - when she is able to get to know you, we promise you'll fall in love %90%BE Interested in meeting Nova?
