About Winnie

Winnie is a sweet independent older lady who is mostly deaf and going blind but hasn't lost enough sight for it to affect her. She also has a little crab claw foot! She takes a little while to warm up to you but once she does she's the sweetest little rock lobster you'll ever meet. She likes to snuggle but needs a bit of convincing. I don't think she's used to affection and pets. She'll occasionally sleep in the bed with us but again needs a bit of convincing. At bed time she likes to wander a bit so we close the door to keep her from trying to go downstairs in the dark where she gets 'stuck'. She can go down stairs and up small sets. She prefers to be carried up and down the big stairs although she can go down them when there's light. She is able to use a doggy door but since our bedroom is on the second floor she'll have accidents during the night. She also likes to pee on the doggy beds and since she can't hear it's been a bit of a challenge to get her to stop. She has lost most of her teeth so she only eats wet food and she has a bit of a crooked jaw but she has a little permanent smile. She likes to give tiny kisses on your legs and hands and greets you with the happiest little trots if you've been gone for an for an hour or a minute.
