Intake Date: 14 Nov 2021 ----- Age at Intake: est 8 months ----- Breed: shepherd shiba mix ----- Size: 40 lbs ----- Status: owner abandonment after boarding ----- Compatible with: dogs, children (we do not have infants or toddlers in our family). Have not cat tested ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard. Possible apartment with leash requirement and dog park nearby for unleashed exercise ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none major noted. ----- Additional Notes: Duxi came to FBS as a boarding dog for two weeks however he was never picked up so he is available for adoption. When he came to the rescue, he was skin and bones, severely emaciated and dehydrated. He is now a healthy weight but we are still working on him slowing down when he eats. He is a very social and sweet boy and sometimes a little shy. He is very playful and active. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required if a yard is present.
