About Phil

Phil (AKA Oscar) is a large male Pitt bull. He is a handsome and smart boy. He can open gates that are not locked. He is generally good with other dogs but when left alone unattended with another intact male Pitt bull there was a dog fight and he lost his home. He is housebroken. He did not react to cats but has not lived with them. He is too high energy for very small children. He needs a home where he is the only dog or there is one other large female dog. I am fostering Phil but will be traveling at Christmas and if he has to go to the shelter he will likely be euthanized since he cannot be kenneled with another large male dog. Please understand he does not just attack other dogs. He has always been friendly to any dog approaching him in the public. But confined unattended in a small space he can be aggressive. He has shown NO people aggression and has been tested over toys and food.
