Meet GG! She's a Shepherd/Husky Mix. Approximately born 8/9/21 and weighing 35 lbs. From GG's foster momma: GG and a sibling had been living at an abandoned mobile home. A concerned neighbor started leaving food for them, but could never touch them. Then one day the sibling was no longer there and GG was alone. The neighbor fed her for several more days and was finally able to trap her. She was terrified, of course. It took about 3 days for us to touch her on her chin. After 2 weeks she was much more trusting and started to return affection. Week 3, she was completely comfortable and at home. GG has been a fast learner. From her first night here, she has slept in her crate all night without a sound or an accident. She prefers to sleep on the couch now, but she is still crated at night because she occasionally has a pee accident. She knows 'potty' and will go to the door. She learned to sit for her food or a treat from her foster sisters. She has been a joy, an easy girl to foster, and will make a great addition to any family. She MUST have a fur sibling and/or children. She needs someone very understanding as she may have a setback after the transition to a new environment. She still is a bit afraid of new people, but getting much better. She will arrive the beginning of January. She MUST have a fenced in yard, another dog OR children. Apply to adopt at BudddyandFriendsMA.org This is the ONLY way to be considered for adoption. We are NOT a shelter - we are a foster-based rescue.
