About The Dude

Come meet 'The Dude', a sweet, fun-loving and friendly Rottweiler mix who is 3 years old. Nothing makes The Dude happier than hanging out with friends and family, giving kisses and getting his butt scratched. Afterwards, he is ready to head outside for some a long walk or hike and more play time. The Dude is a very smart boy having completed an intense obedience program. Not only does he know his obedience commands, but he likes to show off some tricks, like 'sit pretty' or 'crawl'. The Dude has had some rough trails along the way. He spent the second year of his life in a high kill shelter and was supposed to be euthanized. Once he was adopted and settled into his new home, it was clear that The Dude was an affectionate boy. Unfortunately, it turned out The Dude was not good with cats. Despite his prior owner's best efforts they were forced to find a new home for The Dude. Today The Dude is with Sedona Shepherd. The Dude will bond quickly with any new family. Once settling into a home, he needs a routine, otherwise he may get into a little bit of mischief. He responds positively to an easy-going approach and quickly warms up to new people. For the most part, The Dude has a live and let live attitude around animals, but he will thrive best in a home with no other animals. He is a dog that just wants to be your best friend.
