About Remy

Courtesy post, for Remy through Cozze Paws Rescue Remy is an energetic Pitbull mix who loves to cuddle, play catch, and be around her favorite people. Remy is a little over 1 year old and very smart. She's learned commands like sit, stay, come, and even some ball tricks. She is very headstrong and quite the escape artist, so having secure surroundings is crucial. But she loyally defends the ones she loves. Remy definitely struggles with anxiety. She's quick to bark at a small noise, paces when people leave, and she's still a pup, so she will chew things up when she's left alone, including toys, bedding, and any laundry left laying around. She loves car rides and walks, but needs work with leash training to prevent her from pulling. Because she is so nervous and really doesn't like being left alone for too long, she would probably best suited in a family with no kids or other pets. She needs socialization. Visitors, meeting strangers at a park, or bringing her by someone's house makes her nervous. I would love to see Remy thrive under calm, yet stern leadership, specifically someone who has had experience working with headstrong, high energetic breeds like Pitbulls. She really is a sweet girl and has the potential to be a great dog around strangers�'�|she just needs more socialization with someone who has the experience to do so. We have had a couple of instances of her biting others. I had a friend come over to watch my boys, and when I left the room, and the friend took my kids outside, she got defensive and was aggressive with my friend. She also lunged at one of my kids (age 4) when he came to say goodnight to her when she was laying on the couch. Note from previous foster.... Remy is okay with other dogs, big dogs need slower introductions she just hasn't been socialized but she did amazing with all sizes at my house when she was around 6months old since then she just hasn't been around many, we also offer foster to adopt, Remy was good at my house but dogs can act different in different environments if anyone would love to give this good girl a forever home please reach out to me, she's staying w her previous adopters but looking for her forver home, someone that won't give up on this girl breaks my heart �%9D%A4 thanks Amanda
