About TENA

Tena is an energetic and loving girl with a feisty personality! She likes to show the other dogs in the house that she's the one in charge. When she's not playing she loves to curl up and snuggle next to her person. Tena does great with kids and gets along with all the dogs in the house. At night she sleeps in the room with her foster parents in her dog bed. She would be a perfect addition to any family looking for a sassy sweet little girl! She is a very typical puppy - she loves to play with the other puppies and the other dogs in her foster home, play with toys, chew on everything! She is very puppy curious so we highly recommend investing in a puppy pen or large crate to keep her safe and out of trouble when she cannot be supervised. She is a 10-12 week old Chihuahua mix puppy who came to us out of a hoarding situation we've been working on for a bit now! Based on current weights we believe she will be 12-15 pounds fully grown, but since we are really unsure of her exact age and her parents that is just a guess! She has been to the vet for a wellness check, had two sets of their puppy shots, are fecal tested and wormed, and have been microchipped with a lifetime registration. Their spay/neuter, rabies vaccines, and any residual baby teeth that need to be removed will be scheduled at one of our vets when they are 6 months old. These puppies cannot go outside until a week after their last set of puppy shots to keep them safe from parvo so you will be looking at a little bit of puppy clean up until you can start potty training them outside! They will usually try to use puppy pads if left around the house. At night they sleep in their foster family's bedroom in a dog bed. Because they have pending vet appointments they are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. No exceptions will be made to this rule.
