About TRENT

PLEASE READ INFORMATION AT THE END OF THE POST FOR ADOPTIONS. Trent is patiently waiting for his new family! Trent is a 7 month old Chihuahua mix puppy who weighs 7.8 pounds. He is a shy little pupper at first, but once he is comfortable with you he happily gives you lots of love and will be your best friend. He loves attention from his foster family and jumps at the chance to sit on a lap for lots of cuddles and kisses. His foster mom says he is a snuggly Velcro dog. He's also smart and a quick learner! She has been playing games with him and giving him easy steps to build his courage. He is very treat oriented and that has helped a lot. Trent really enjoys snuggling and being close to his person! He is not going to be happy left alone for longer periods of time. He sleeps with his foster family all night under the covers. Trent gets along with all other small dogs and loves to play. His best home will have another young, small dog in it for him to play with. We have tested him with big dogs and they made him anxious. He is good with kids but would be better with older kids who are familiar with small dogs. He has been very good with the cat in his foster home too! He is just now learning about leash training and he's doing well, but he is very skittish about the unknown so we are requiring a home with a fenced yard for him. He is doing great with his house breaking and will go outside and use a potty pad inside if needed! Trent has been to the vet for a wellness check, is neutered, up to date on shots, fecal tested and wormed, and has been microchipped with a lifetime registration. Applicants should live within a 2-hour hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our rescue dogs are housed in private homes in and around the Pensacola area. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review. This does not obligate you to adopt a dog. *Unfortunately we are unable to personally respond to every application.
