About Zoey

Courtesy post for Zoey...this silly old girl has had ZERO interest from adopters and it breaks our hearts, Such a sad story. Her caretaker Lyn is out of options as her grandmother is now having to move in and she will not be able to care for her, her dogs and Zoey being separated. Anyone who can help this senior pup? She was left in a shed for a year �٪%81 Local shelter says they will euthanize upon intake ���� Please PM us if you can help and we will forward to her current caretaker. 'Dear diary, alI I want is a new forever home! My mommy had to go to Assisted Living and she couldn't take me. I stayed in the insulated shed in back of our house for 1 year. People would come to feed me but I had no socialization or real human contact. Well, someone bought my house and I had to leave the shed. My neighbor rescued me. I was in horrible condition, losing my hair , suffering from dry eyes and my toenails were embedded in my paws. I was blessed because a veterinarian took me in and rehabbed me. They cleaned me up, cut my toe nails and put me on a let of medicine to get me healthy again. They found me a home but�'�|I didn't know how to get along with other dogs. They scared me and I became reactive towards them. So my neighbor came and got me. Now, I'm in training and learning to adapt to other dogs, but I can't live with them. I don't like when they come near me. And you guessed it�'�|my neighbor has 3 tiny noise makers that get on my nerves. I just want to be the only 4 legged pup in the home. Because I want all the attention and love. �%9D%A4��%8F My neighbor takes real good care of me. She gives me 1/2 Apoquel every day and bathes me every week. Oh yeah I forgot she takes me for a mile walk every day by myself and brushes me. I still get gunk in my eyes, so she washes my face every day too. I just want a mommy or daddy that I don't have to share and a home where I don't have to be separated from everyone! Is there a home out there for me? Will anyone take in a broken senior soul like mine? I hope so. I'm 8, crate trained, sleep a lot, LOVE car rides in the front seat, walk well on a leash and I love my humans very much. �%9D%A4��%8F�%9D%A4��%8F�%9D%A4��%8F Love, Zoey.'
