About Peaches

Peaches is an adorable 9lb Yorkie dreaming of finally having a quiet lap to curl up in. We believe she was a backyard breeder momma who was put out on the streets after she was of no more use to her owner. She came into foster scared, skittish and absolutely no concept of people being kind. We believe Peaches to be around 12 years old (The vet says she is too old to be neutered). Nonetheless, in just 6 weeks she has made an astonishing turn around. She is playful, happy, snuggly and acts much younger than her supposed age. She is a dream with all kind people and older kids. She has cataracts in both eyes so has limited vision. Quick moves or too much activity can frighten her, but once she realizes it's family, she comes running for kisses. She likes having people around and wont do well if she is left alone for long periods each day. She is great with small and medium size dogs and curious about cats. She can't walk long distances so would do better with a fenced yard. Given her history she is surprisingly pretty well potty trained but still needs some work and a consistent schedule.
